If you don't have much money at all, a Perkins loan can really help you out. If you have money you probably won't be able to qualify because these loans are only for people that have a lot of need. Perkins loans are great because like Stafford loans, you aren't required to have credit at all to get approved in fact you can get Perkins loans even if your credit is terrible.

Stafford and Perkins loans are by far the best student loans for people with bad credit so you'll just have to apply and see if you can get approved. If you can it will definitely be a lot easier to pay for your education.

Oh you might want to take a look at Pell Grants before you get any loans at all. They don't have to be paid back so it's like free money.

If you are a student or prospective student that has bad credit, Stafford loans are by far the best loans around. A credit check isn't part of the approval process for Stafford loans because they are backed by the U.S. government. The federal government will basically sign for you on the loan and that takes away the risk for the bank.

When I was in college I didn't know that bad credit student loans even existed and that's why I was in school for 7 years. Paying for school was a near impossibility for me.
